Simona Bonanno’s work, ”Un Mémoire du 13”, documents the devastating strategy of jihadist terror in the heart of Europe. The project was born by chance because the evening of the attack in Paris she was where it all began: at the XI Arrondissement.
Like spying through a keyhole, I project myself into the lives of the passengers and crew of a big cruise ship. Through my camera I observe this multitude of people, always the same and always different, giving rise to a huge and cosmopolite isolated society on the seas.
A generation who lives between past and present. I'm truly fascinated by these old and smarty people that, more than all of us, lives constantly switching from the old era to our now, trying to move with the times, protecting themselves in their timeless world.
