Artist and photographer Catherine Regnier invites us to rediscover the hidden magic in the smallest details of nature.
Through her photographs, she seeks to share her wonder at things that might seem banal or overly familiar but actually conceal a beauty waiting to be unveiled.
A Love Story with the Trioplan Lens
It all began with a photograph she discovered on social media: a unique bokeh resembling soap bubbles and a watercolor finish that captivated her at first sight. This is how her love affair with the Trioplan 100mm f2.8 lens from Meyer Optik Görlitz was born.
“What could be more wonderful than playing with the peculiarities of a vintage lens to reveal the magic that surrounds us?” Catherine muses. After two years of hesitation, she finally decided to order it. A month of waiting and uncertainty—unsure if it would even be manufactured again—culminated with its arrival just as spring began.
A Magical Encounter with Nature
Armed with her Trioplan, Catherine ventured out with renewed enthusiasm to admire nature’s rebirth. From the garden to the ponds and through the undergrowth, she captures the wonders she encounters on her walks. Thanks to its light weight and minimal footprint, this lens is always in her backpack, ready to immortalize magical moments.
“Re-enchanting nature, which we live alongside without always noticing,” is her mission. She invites us to join her on this journey, to have a magical rendezvous with Mother Nature through the eye of the Trioplan.
