New York ( 9 sep - 7 nov 2015) PaJaMa, an acronym for Paul-Jared-Margaret, was a collaboration between the artists Paul Cadmus, Jared French and Margaret French. Influenced by Carl Jung’s idea of the collective unconscious
Daniel Botelho is an award winning photojournalist that specializes in underwater photography. His work can be seen in more than a hundred advertising campaigns. Daniel’ s connection with nature dates back to his childhood, as he grew up in between the sea and the rainforest, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Sophie Gamand is a French award-winning photographer living and working in New York City. Since 2010, she has been focusing on dogs and our relationship with them.
I am an emerging photographic based artist. After a career teaching art fulltime in the NYC public schools for over 3 decades, I am focusing on editing, exhibiting and publishing my tremendous archive as a series of photographic memoirs.
My passion to create is driven by my bicultural background as an Iranian-American. My work is a reflection of culture as well as the self, pursuing distinct and obscure emotions in an attempt to create a narrative and connect with humanity.
Chicago is, famously, America’s “Second City”, a reference to the inescapable hegemony of New York in our national imagination: the greatest urban achievement of the 20th century.
Thomas Alleman - I left San Francisco in a slow-churning panic in 1988, worn-out and soul-sick from three years of doing reportage in the gay community, which was then being drowned in the first crashing wave of HIV and AIDS.
Expectations, these are things put on us from birth. Who we are expected to be. How we treat others. What we do with our lives. Some expectations are gender specific. Some expectations find their way into our subconscious no matter how much we have been shielded from them.
Working with an immense variety of single images, comprised of a multitude of focal points with a play of light and illumination in each individual photograph, the whole picture then develops into an endless amount of dimension and a fascinating expression of movement.
I love to take pictures that are calm and on point. Working together with the subject as a team I can build up a trust that help me direct the shoot in a natural way.
Herb Ritts (1952–2002) was a leading American fashion photographer of the 1980s and 1990s, known for his beautifully printed, formally bold, and sensual black-and-white images of supermodels
During the winter, when many of my friends are basking in the hot Caribbean sun at such popular vacation venues as the Dominican Republic or Puerto Vallarta, I could be found roaming the remote, sunparched back roads of the California Mojave Desert.
When the opportunity to work as an artist in residence for Mojave National Preserve presented itself I jumped at the chance. I knew immediately what I wanted to do. With my affinity for the night and the outdoors it had to be “Mojave Moonlight.”
Over the course of my life (at present 61), I’ve been in some ‘diverse life’ situations. The one constant has been photography. Admittedly there have been large patches of time when i was camera less, again owing to ‘diverse’ living arrangements.
City Square is a photography series with it’s genesis in the fleeting moments of street photography. In the early spring of 2010 I found myself city centre in Vancouver, BC as the hard winter light began to soften towards spring.
Photography isn't just a hobby for me; it's an all-out obsession that may require a stint in rehab. Then again, I might prefer to be locked in a clinic with a bunch of photographers with a level of passion that matches my own.
The images in this body of work reflect my ongoing fascination with urban environments and the impact that commerce has on them. It is my attempt to resolve the visual tension created by the over-development of the city that I have lived in and loved most of my life.
The only postproduction on the photo is a little boost in the contrast and vibrancy.  The effect with the mirror is 100% captured in-camera, by holding an actual mirror, experimenting with different angles, and waiting for the correct lighting.
