Dolomites are a section of Alps in the north Italy. The Mountains around us of soaring rock spires seemingly suspended above the clouds.
The Dolomites are a unique landscape. In some places green and luscious, others stark and grey like a scene of Mordor from Lord of the Rings. One thing you will never deny is that the whole area is staggeringly beautiful.
Meadows rise to barren precipices, and pine trees begin to lose their foothold in the scree. Traces of civilisation become scarcer: I pass a wooden crucifix clinging to a wind-battered outcrop, and ruined cottages where wildflowers sprout among the stones. Black clouds hover grimly around the summits.Every time It is always a new adventure, and I am always impressed with how beautiful nature is.My photos capture appreciation of the world around, rich, golden woodlands, stunning azure waters, in one shot, a person in a vibrant red jacket, emphasizing the trees and beautifully contrasting against darker. The larger a mountain appears and the smaller the person is, the more it becomes clear how small we truly are.
These massive landscapes were unlike anything I had seen before. There is some harsh and pure beauty to the peaks and valleys of these mountains. The rapid change of the weather adds a lot of tension to photographing this type of landscape. Clouds sometimes come in fast with rain, while the sun can create dramatic shadows. While travelling through the Dolomites, I was particularly impressed by thetre Cime di Lavaredo, Carezza Lake as well as the mountain peaks of Sella . The Siusi Alps also proved to be quite charming with their little cabins and green fields.
“Dolomites Diary”-Travelling Photography, grows up during my holidays on the beautiful mountains of Trentino Alto Adige. My photography project tells about parts of landscape, stories and pieces of existence far away from my daily life. During the trip, I looked seeing things from a different point of view , I tried to understand the “spirit of the place” , escaping from exoticism . The narration of the trip is something between watching and catching , so, in this situation , in these landscapes told by pictures , I tried to get their truest and deepest sense.
