Andrea is a woman. In a man’s body. This is the definition of h*self that everyone has when it has to do with him. This description, however, doesn’t tell what exactly Andrea is.
This description doesn’t tell anything about strength, anything about the pride, doesn’t tell anything about the road h* traveled to be here now. This does not tell how hard it has been to achieve h*self consciousness, how hard it has been to realize h*s limits, to realize h*s endless possibilities.
This project is all about this, the story of a woman’s body built across the years, piece by piece, suffering every step, filing every edge. It’s the story of someone who wasn’t satisfied of beeing just “someone” He wanted to be the whole world.
40-years-old, born and raised in Florence, Italy, I started taking photographs of concerts and theatres. During the last years, due mainly to Covid followed by lockdown, I moved my interests to the photo story, describing the “diversity” in all its nuances.
I studied with Fondazione Marangoni since 2018, where I deepened the use of lights and the culture of photography.
