Should we believe in Fate, and if yes, is it possible to outrun our own destiny? Why do some human beings seem to be snatched by the black unfortunate infernal spiral when others are blessed by the holy light and chance?
Is there an antenatal determinism or should we believe that fortune or misfortune are promised to the random social or geopolitical conditions of birth? Or again, do we undergo only the consequences of our own “good or bad” actions, judged and punished by a supranatural entity? The whole concept of “L’Opéra Fabuleux” visual series and novel is a philosophical study and odyssey about how birth origins can heavily hang over one’s mind and soul and over the whole life of any person being born or grown in unfortunate and unfavorable or tragic conditions. All psychological studies show how there is only very little chance, if any, to escape from a destined life of disaster and social discrimination. The only hope seems to be the chance to get a strong character with a furious desire to survive and to come across helpful people and real friends at the right moment… But it can happen!
Should we believe in FATE?

Then Derek had to undertake a long and very difficult way of complete reconstruction to rescue. From a total loss of identification and civil decline, a homeless life and everyday/everywhere dangers, Derek could only be saved thanks to the infallible friendship of a mysterious young fellow who patiently helped and gave him back the taste of life.
