I’m a self-learned photographer from a very small village in Cantal, France. I began photography four years ago when I was 44. I left my job and came to the mountain of the « massif Central ».
I am not a travel-lover; I photograph around me, in a small area around my home. I like photographing when weather conditions are bad (fog, snow, wind) and I try to express the strength of the nature and the beauty of those moments. In this work I photograph roads. Roads tell stories especially when it is bad weather. Listen to these stories, watch and let yourself be carried away.
This series of photographs is called : « Once upon a time a road by Mam’At… »
These photographs tell stories of erased roads. Disappearing and appearing to the rhythm of snow and wind. They were roads, they become graphics. They tell stories of anonymous roads, which come from nowhere, which go somewhere; which come from somewhere, which go nowhere. They tell stories of deserted roads, which invite you to a spiritual journey. Reflections on the direction to follow. Let yourself be guided through these mysterious and magical roads, let yourself go towards the unknown. Make up a story for yourself. Once upon a time a road…. [ Series produced during the last two winters (2017-2018 and 2018-2019)] (Official Website)
