PUBLISHED PHOTOGRAPHERS

Luca Onnis | 1st Place | Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Luca Onnis started taking photographs late, at the age of 30, simply because he wanted to remember a trip he was going to take soon. He soon discovered that he did not like to make ‘postcards,’ but that he preferred to narrate places and situations through the filter of his emotions. Luca became curious, passionate, and began studying more and more. Just when travel photography started to bring him satisfaction and recognition, his heart told him that portrait photography was the right medium to express himself completely. He did nothing but study the great masters and their photographs, learning and refining his technique. Luca placed himself in the hands of one of the greatest contemporary Italian professional photographers, and his expressive language began to be born and develop.
