I was diagnosed positive with Covid 19 along with symptoms of headache, complete loss of smell, coughing and a lot of tiredness on May 2nd 2021.
Life changed somewhat and I shifted myself to an isolated stay in the apartment in Newtown, Kolkata. The building was vacant except the caretaker/ building security family at ground floor who were recovering from Covid as well. I lived on food supply from online orders, where the exchange of food and money were kept contactless. My colleagues, friends and family members kept in touch everyday over phone. Still, the frequent ambulance sirens from around, (especially at night) were unnerving at times. India was at its worst situation of Covid infection and deaths.
For me things became better after a week. I could smell again , the coughing was intermittent and received negative report on May 12th . The body was dehydrated severely and was weak too. I could return home after two weeks, remembering and thanking my isolated stay. I had my camera there and had taken pictures occasionally during the isolation; from day one to fourteenth.
