Roland Blum is a liechtenstein based photographer.he’s specialized in abstract photography since the early 80’s.
He studied music at the jazz school lucerne switzerland and spanish and art at the university of Havana (Cuba). Since 1994 roland blum is working as a journalist, photographer, producer and head of music at the national broadcast company radio liechtenstein. His latest series Poetry of Silence was created in the Sperrgebiet, a diamond mining aerea in the Namib Desert.Blum believes that to those in a hurry, the desert will appear grey and desolate.For the sensitive and patient viewe, however, it will reveal itself as a most uplifting landscape, ranging from sublime subleties to dramatic colour highlights.
