In March 2024, Regina Anzenberger returned to Tasmania — a place that has deeply shaped her artistic journey since her first visit back in 1989.

This island, with its wild landscapes and unique natural forms, once again became an endless source of inspiration. During her stay, Anzenberger captured everything that moved her: riverbeds, stones, leaves, trees, and mysterious seahorses.

Her new book and the accompanying exhibition are built around these photographs, structured into four chapters: Prologue, Riverbed Rocks, Rainforest, and Floating Bonds. But her work goes far beyond traditional photography. Through painterly and graphic interventions, Regina expands her original images, creating a dreamlike world where art and nature intertwine.

She also integrates natural objects she found along the way, adding a three-dimensional quality that makes each piece feel even more connected to its place of origin. In this way, her work doesn’t just represent a landscape — it conveys the deep bond she feels with the land.

The exhibition is presented in an intimate, diary-like style, with the works hung freely and organically across the walls. Each piece feels like a fragment of memory, offering a glimpse into the artist’s emotions, experiences, and reflections.

“Floating Bonds” is more than just a book or an exhibition — it’s a living testament to how nature can transform and give meaning to both art and life.
